I hate having to dial 0044208 etc just to call London!
This is a common problem, as SIP providers may require you to dial the international form of all numbers. Even local ones!

If you have gone for the free Voice modem then simply create a dial plan. At the command prompt on your PC enter, telnet bebox, then login to the modem and enter these commands to program your modem. After this all your 11 digit UK numbers starting 01 or 02 will be converted to international format.
voice dialplan add prefix=02 defaultport=FXS1 fallbackport=FXS2 priority=NA fallback=enabled minimumdigits=11 maximumdigits=11 posofmodify=1 remnumdigits=1 insert=0044 rescan=no action=none
voice dialplan add prefix=01 defaultport=FXS1 fallbackport=FXS2 priority=NA fallback=enabled minimumdigits=11 maximumdigits=11 posofmodify=1 remnumdigits=1 insert=0044 rescan=no action=none
